I love Target, I have seriously been going through Target withdrawls, as our has been closed since Jan and just opened a few weeks ago. Adam and I were walking through our new super target, and I saw they had whole chickens on sale. I knew I wanted to make chicken noodle soup, with homemade stock. So I bought the chicken and made it today.
This chicken was amazing, Adam barely had to cut it, it just fell off the bone, it had GREAT flavor and was SOOOOOO good! I can’t wait to make one again!

- 1 whole chicken, washed and dried
- olive oil
- seasoning salt
- onion powder
- pepper
Place chicken in the slow cooker, drizzle oil over the top, season with seasoning.
Cook in slow cooker on 2 for 8 or so hours. (I did 10 hours)

Wow! You did THAT in a slow cooker?? I am IMPRESSED! I may have to use this recipe!!
I never thought to do a whole chicken in a slow cooker! Maybe because mine is so small – but I did tell my husband that I want a big one for Christmas!!
It looks tasty! How much oil did you use? Did it do ok withouth extra liquids?
I didn’t add any more liquid but when I got home there was 1c. plus in there of oil/water (juices) I only used a drizzle of olive oil. I would say under 1 T.
Wow – that looks seriously amazing! I can’t believe that came out of a crockpot!
