Our first daughter Maddy I made all her purees it worked for us, she loved them. I had grand plans to do that for Hanna has well, then I heard about BLW (Baby led weaning) it sounded interesting but I had already made the purees… except she had NO interested in said purees. She has to feed herself, so we are using BLW which is working awesome! But I have about 10 things of purees up in the freezer. I thought these were perfect to use that up as well as give her something she can hold and eat.
Teething Biscuits (From: Imprintalish)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup dry infant rice cereal
- 1/3 c. pureed apples
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons water
Preheat oven to 425ºF / 220ºC. In a bowl, mix together flour, cereal and cinnamon.
Add in oil, banana and water. Mix until dough comes together to form a firm, non-sticky dough. Add water or flour (1 tablespoon at a time) if necessary.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out about 1/2 inch thick and cut into shapes or bars.
Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes, or until slightly brown. Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.

Cool – I might have to try these with Ryan. I need to read more about BLW. Can you recommend any websites? Ryan has just recently been interested in eating, so we’re at the beginning stages of purees.
Hey, Carrie – stop by my blog, I have a BLW tag on there. I actually wrote a little book of recipes that I’ll email you too. BLW is FABULOUS!!!!!
Melissa – check out http://www.babyledweaning.com/ as a start. I got the cook book, instead of the original book because the second book included lots of info from the first!!
Thanks – I think I am going to do a little of this and still some purees. No rule that you can’t do both, right?
