When I think summer I think bubblebees. Not sure why but I always associate summer and bees. So I decided that would be the perfect craft to do this week.

This was pretty easy except for Maddy wanting to move her foot all around the paper instead of just pushing it down. I guess she gets the point of finger paints. Inspiration from here.
I let Maddy paint a little bit too. She loves crafts and hates to stop.

I have started doing crafts with Maddy. We normally do about one a week. I have gotten lots of ideas from other Mommy blogs, so I will be sharing a craft once a week here. Hopefully others can gain inspiration. There is nothing funnier then doing some crafts with my little girl. Boys would love it just as much!
This week we made foam bath paints after doing our science project last week. I ended up making five colors. We use two tonight and put the rest in bowls and will using the next week or so.
At first she wasn’t too into painting it was all about splashing the spoon in the water. But towards the end she would coat her hands in the foam and smear it all over the wall.
My little creation. By the time she was done the water was blue green, but it didn’t stain her, or any of the walls or tub.
As you can tell she though the bath paints were a 100% a success.
I followed the recipe from here.

Pinterest is nothing short of addicting. When I first started on it I was all over kids crafts. I am always looking for fun things to do with Maddy during our days. This was one of the first things I saw. I knew she wouldn’t be all over the science part but would love the bath paint that it become. I will post the bath paint once we make it and get to play with it. It was cool to watch the soap in the microwave.
You start a bar of Ivory soap.
Maddy watching as it goes. You microwave for 2 minutes.
It slowly starts expanding.
She thought it was pretty cool.
This is what it looked like after the 2 minutes. You let it cool and then you crumbled it up into little pieces. From there you make it into the bath paint. Well be making it this week and I will post it then
I can’t wait to have more science expierences with Maddy!
