Old El Paso Frozen Entree Review and Giveaway

by Carrie on November 14, 2013

I prefer to cook fresh meals for us not from a package. But some nights life is just too busy for a meal that takes any amount of time. So I like to keep 1-2 frozen things on hand for a quick meal. A favorite is TJ’s Orange Chicken but we are lovers of Mexican food so when I was contacted about reviewing an Old El Paso meal I jumped right on it.

Then I stood in the freezer section of the store debating what I wanted, too many choices. I ultimately decided to go for fajitas as Adam and I both love them but never ever make them at home. The choices were chicken or steak. I went with steak just because that is what we are use too.

20131030-192331.jpgIt doesn’t get much easier then this put into pan, cook until heated through put on tortillas and serve. Simple enough.

I’m a weird one I know but I did not like all the peppers. I know that’s what fajitas are. But the overall flavor was awesome, it was simple and quick. I will definitely buy other items, but stray away from fajitas given my lack of love for peppers.

Our favorite easy dinner is toaster oven nachos. Chips, chicken, black beans, jalapenos for the grown-ups, topped with cheese and melted in the toasted oven. Top with guac, sour cream, and lettuce. Yum!

Even being a SAHM, I love easy, simple meals. I had all of these preconceived ideas of what being a SAHM would look like. HA! I was so wrong. So, so wrong.

We also LOVE TJ’s Orange Chicken. Other frozen meals that we keep on hand are frozen pizzas and even those frozen Chicken Cordon Bleu things.
