Funfetti Cookies

Secret Recipe ClubI heard about the secret recipe club over a year ago, but never looked into it. Then when I did there was a waiting list. I got an e-mail in February stating they were accepting new members was I interest. YES YES and YES! Lately I haven’t need as much inspiration in the kitchen, but I know when this next little girl comes I will lose my mojo and this is a great way to keep it. It’s also a great way to find new blogs, new recipes and meet new people.

So for my first month I was assigned The Teenage Taste, I quickly started searching her blogs and a few stuck out. But then I saw her post on funfetti cookies, claiming you would never need another box mix… Oh that got my attention. Small confession I buy the seasonal funfetti after the holiday and then make funfetti cookies… addicted much.

Chewy Funfetti Cookies (From: The Teenage Taste)

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup canola oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sprinkles

Preheat oven to 350ºF and grease a large baking sheet, set aside.

Place all dry ingredients, except sprinkles, in a large bowl and stir until combined. Place all wet ingredients in a separate bowl, and stir until combined.

Pour wet ingredient mixture into the dry ingredient mixture and stir. Do not overmix! Fold in sprinkles.

Roll cookie dough into golf ball-sized balls. Place on the greased cookie sheet, leaving 1 inch between balls. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Let cool.

Came over here through the blog hop. I grew up eating funfetti cake so looking at this recipe is like a trip back to childhood. So many good birthday memories started with that box mix. The Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook also has a fantastic recipe for cookies like this. Theirs has become my go-to.

If you visit the page : The teenage taste – I discovered the recipe include a buttercream drizzle glaze as a topping. I think they’ll be fantastic either way ! Going to make today
