Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie

by Carrie on January 19, 2012

I have been searching for ways to get more protein in my breakfasts as I feel like I am lacking it in the early mornings. So when I saw this recipe I figured I should give a try.

The peanut butter gave this a different texture, but if you can get past the texture the banana peanut butter combo is a good one.

Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie (From:Chiquita)

  • 2   whole frozen Bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 1   (6-oz.) carton non-fat Vanilla yogurt
  • 1/3   cup creamy Peanut butter
  • 1/2   cup non-fat Milk

Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Serve immediately.

I LOVE peanut butter and banana milkshakes. This sounds like a healthier option and just as delicious!

I make the famous banana ice cream with peanut butter sometimes, but I like the milkshake idea with yogurt and milk, too. I have sliced bananas in my freezer ready to go. Trying this tonight!
